When the monitor is not in use the display screen will show the word "OFF".

This indicates the battery is good and the monitor is working

After connection to the horse,

TO START --

PRESS THE "ON" BUTTON AND HOLD FOR 3 to 4 SECONDS.

The display will change to "0" with the HEART ICON above the 0.

The monitor will display the HR within 15 seconds, depending on the HR.

This monitor will update the HR every 2 to 3 seconds.

IF no signal is received for 1 to 2 minutes the monitor will switch back to the OFF mode.

You can turn off the monitor - PRESS and HOLD the ON button until the display shows "OFF".

Remove the back cover

Remove the small clip over the battery- Look at the end tabs to determine which tap releases the clip. DO NOT pry or force.

Replace the battery with PLUS side up.

Re-install the clip.

You can take the receiver watch to any jeweler or Radio Shack - any shop that changes batteries in a standard watch.

We DO NOT offer battery replacement.
