IAHA 1A303180    AERC H27421

I purchased OMNI from the first owner. He was initially used for dressage for about 2 years. We re-trained him using John Lyons methods. He worked in a week clinic and has been working well for  years. He is very light on the bit. I am  using a snaffle or a sidepull. Loads, ties, leads and the all the good ground manners required, no vices.

1999 First Year

He HAD problems but all are corrected- showing allot of A attitude and going forward very nice. Did well in a very difficult 50 at Summer Breeze KY- HOT HOT 98 with 85% humidity. Did it 8:51  was 20th out of 49 starts. He has GREAT pulses and recoveries. REST 30 to 32.

MAY 00- Completed 3 - 50 milers this year  Million Pines 5:36  flat easy very fast

2001 -2003  Problems at Biltmore. Came back and rode the AERC NC at Ft Stanton.

Had a major fall at a ride in Jan 2002. We were off almost the whole year. Came back in to ride many LDs

2004 Rode MP 50 and Biltmore 50 - finally finished the Biltmore with him. These were the first 50 milers since our wreck.  He  has over 500 LD miles and close to 1000 in 50 milers (total)

2005 I decided to retire him from AERC rides. He has too many issues that preclude him competing with causing problems. We now just pleasure trail him

2007 After 2 moves in 7 months we are settled in Pikeville TN. We are just pleasure riding and loving it. No stress, no training issues, no pressure. He is staying quite sound and doing well.

At the Natchez Trace house we rode the Trace trail but became quite bored. Here at the new place we have a St forest to ride with over 40 miles of trails. We ride at BSF and East Fork Stables.

I have not been able to find a new ride to replace him.

It looks like Omni and I will ride for many more miles of pleasure trails.

After 30 years of distance trail riding, I found I can live without endurance.  Its real fun now.
