All V-MAX® Equine Heart Rate Monitor Systems are COMPLETE and ready to ride. The monitor consists of:

• A wireless, water-resistant, wristwatch style Receiver
• Transmitter Module, water-resistant
• EKG Electrode Kit- coil lead - short lead - two electrodes - Velcro girth strap
• Transmitter pouch - Attach to saddle - new pouch - connects to saddle D rings-see INSTALLATION link
• Tube of EKG gel
• USER-GUIDE-Conditioning Manual- Now on CD no hard copy provided

Wireless is defined as no leads are connected to the rider.

GENERAL INFORMATION-SPECIFICATIONS

All V-MAX® EHRM SYSTEMS are complete and ready to install on the horse. The system electronic components (Receiver watch and Transmitter) are water-resistant.. You may ride in the rain, wash, sponge, or swim your horse with the V-MAX®. Water will not harm your monitor.

The V-MAX® , receiver and transmitter, are designed to allow the user to change the batteries. Do not  send the monitor to us for battery replacement. 

The V-MAX® EHRM Systems use monitor components acquired from various Human Heart Rate manufactures. Our current HRM component source is CARDIOSPORT®   

The transmitter from CARDIOSPORT  is a solid block style. There are NO flex ends to break.   The CARDIOSPORT Transmitter features a 'coin' removable cap. We have found this transmitter to be very rugged and reliable. The battery is very easy to change.   

All batteries are available from Radio-Shack.

Our V-MAX® HEARTBELT and HEARTCHECK use the CARDIOSPORT  one piece  belt- strip  Transmitter. Compatible with ALL V-MAX Models.

The V-MAX® EHRM is Guaranteed ACCURATE (+/- 1 BPM).

Estimated battery life is 6 months to one year.

Special and Custom Systems for Treadmills, Aquacizer, Swimming tanks, and any other unique applications are available.

If your run or work out, we can provide a transmitter Human chestbelt. We recommend using the standard human 'strap' style belt. The HEARTBELT uses this human belt with an extended strap for horse use. If you want to use it for yourself- ask your supplier-retailer for  a short 'human' belt.
