REPAIR INFORMATION
Our V-MAX models are based on components from CARDIOSPORT should NOT be returned to us for battery replacement. The user can change batteries in all our newer models. The transmitter battery is under a cap on the back. Remove the cap and pick out the battery. Install a new one with the plus sign up. The receiver watch battery can be changed by removing the back and the battery retainer clip. Install the battery with the plus sign up. Battery number is printed on the back of the battery. The batteries are available from Radio Shack and other battery supply outlets.
The battery life is 6 to 12 months, depending on use.
DO NOT RETURN the monitor to us for battery replacement. If you experience problems please call
RETURN POLICY
If for any reason you want to return a product manufactured by EPT, you MUST first call the retailer who sold you the monitor. You should also contact our sales agent THE DISTANCE DEPOT. The merchandise must be in 're-saleable' condition , damaged or used products beyond repair cannot be returned for full credit. Cost of repair for resale, if required, will be deducted from the original invoice sale price.

Returns AFTER the 30 day period will be considered as 'buy back' of 'used' equipment. We will offer a limited refund at our option. We are under no obligation, for any reason , to honor a refund of any amount after the 30 day satisfaction guarantee period.

LIMITED WARRANTY V-MAX® EHRM
If you experience a defect with your V-MAX® EHRM and return it to our agent, within one year of purchase, EPT or our agent will repair the Product, or if repair is not feasible, will replace the product free of charge to the purchaser. This limited warranty applies only to defects that exist at the time of purchase and not to any defects or damages caused by the unintended use, abuse or neglect of the product, and such limited warranty is further limited to claims for repairs or replacement that are presented by the ORIGINAL purchaser only. A minimum service and shipping charge is applicable.

The battery is not included in the one year warranty. We agree to replace the battery in either component if it fails within 30 days.
*** The warranty does not apply to the watch band. This is wear and tear item and may fail due to use and not a defect.

Furthermore, EPT, its successors, assigns, agents, principals, employees, officers, or other representatives, have no duty or product liability to anyone other than the person who purchased the product as a new product from EPT.or from a retail outlet approved by EPT, nor to anyone, including such purchaser, in respect of any claim for personal injury, death, property damage, animal injury or death, economic loss, loss of profit or reputation, mental or emotional distress or any injury, or any other claim of injury, damage, or liability whatsoever, except for the obligation to repair or replace the product as stated in the "limited warranty" provided above.
The intended use of the product is to assist the horse owner or trainer to measure the condition of the horse and, through this means, to assist the owner or trainer in achieving adequate and safe training of the horse. The product is not intended to be used as a mechanism to alert the owner or trainer of any medical or physiological crisis that the horse may experience during working or training, and the person working or training the horse should not rely upon the product as a preventive or fail-safe mechanism to avert injury or death of the horse.
