V-MAX ® EQUINE HEART RATE MONITOR

CONNECTION TO THE HORSE and COMPONENTS SUPPLIED
All V-MAX® Systems are connected to the horse using two small thin non-irritating conductive rubber electrodes and human patient monitoring EKG leads. (Custom made for V-MAX®)
One electrode is placed on the left side back under the saddle, behind the withers under the stirrup hanger.
The longer electrode lead ( COIL) is placed under the girth behind the elbow on either the left or right side.
The use of electrically conductive gel is recommended. EKG Gel or ALOE Gel will work great. DO NOT use a 'grease' product such as KY.
The Transmitter is placed in the pouch.
The electrodes we use are soft and smooth to prevent pressure bumps. We use the same style electrode under the saddle and girth.

Transmitter shown is the old style block. New transmitter is the human chest-belt with lead wires adaptation to facilitate use on the horse. We also will provide a pod block with pigtail lead wires.

The LONG LEAD is routed under the edge of the pad. The new coil design helps to prevent lead damage and snagging. A great improvement, an EXCLUSIVE for V-MAX ONLY.

DRIVING SUPPORT
TRANSMITTER LEAD EXTENSION CABLE. This cable places the Transmitter in the cart within range of the receiver. The cable is attached to the jog cart shaft using wire ties or tape. The EKG leads and electrodes are placed under the driving surcingle the same as installed under the saddle and girth. We recommend using TWO of the COIL leads for the driving application.
STICK- ON MEDICAL ELECTRODES
For special purpose applications without a saddle or surcingle the V-MAX FOAM BACK EKG ELECTRODE System is available. We use standard human EKG stick-on/glue on electrodes. See link below
